TI-84 Calculator Online Can Do

Each feature below mirrors the real calculator's layout. If you already know the TI-84, you'll feel right at home.

Y=

Y= (Function Entry)

Type your functions here and graph them. Supports multiple functions plotted at once.

MTH

MATH Menu

Cube roots, fractions, absolute values, and probability functions — all in one menu.

STT

STAT Menu

Enter data lists and run standard deviation, variance, regression, and Z-tests.

WIN

WINDOW / Zoom

Set exact X and Y ranges to control which part of the graph is visible.

2ND

2ND Key

Access all secondary functions printed above each key, exactly like the physical calculator.

ALF

ALPHA Key

Type variable names and letters — useful for storing values and working with programs.

MX

MATRIX Tool

Build matrices, find determinants, calculate inverses, and solve matrix equations.

CLR

CLEAR & DEL

Fix typos without resetting your work. Behaves exactly like the physical keys.

Graphing Calculator Online TI 84 Common tasks, explained

These are the operations students use most. Follow the key sequences exactly as you would on the physical calculator.

Statistics
How to find a Z-score
  1. Press STAT to open the statistics menu
  2. Arrow right to TESTS
  3. Select 1: Z-Test (for hypothesis testing) or 7: ZInterval (for confidence intervals)
  4. Enter your population mean (μ₀), standard deviation (σ), sample mean (x̄), and sample size (n)
  5. Choose Calculate and press Enter
Example output
z = 1.96  |  p = 0.0250
Statistics
How to find standard deviation
  1. Press STAT then 1: Edit to open the list editor
  2. Type your data values into L1, pressing Enter after each number
  3. Press STAT again, arrow to CALC
  4. Select 1: 1-Var Stats and press Enter
  5. Look for Sx (sample std dev) or σx (population std dev) in the results
Example output
x̄ = 14.2  |  Sx = 3.11  |  σx = 2.79
MATH Menu
How to calculate a cube root
  1. Press MATH to open the math menu
  2. Select 4: ∛( (cube root)
  3. Type your number — for example, 27
  4. Close the parenthesis and press ENTER
Example: ∛(27)
Answer: 3

Tip: For other roots (4th, 5th, etc.), use MATH → 5: x√ and type the root index first.

Graphing
How to graph a function
  1. Press Y= to open the function editor
  2. Type your equation next to Y1= — for example, X²-4
  3. Press WINDOW to set your X and Y range (or press ZOOM → 6: ZStandard for a default view)
  4. Press GRAPH to render the function
  5. Use TRACE to move along the curve and read coordinates
Example: Y1 = X²−4
Roots at x = −2 and x = 2
